It's giveaway day at SewMamaSew, and I'm so happy to be partcipating. Thank you for popping over to check out my giveaway. I hope you will stay awhile and poke around. The main focus of this blog is saving money and it includes tasty recipes, sewing projects and lots of other goodies. I have a very popular weekly newsletter that you can sign up for at www.groceryshrink.com It is free and spam free too. Just for signing up I'll send you my favorite homemade cleaning recipes. They are tried and true, will save you a bundle in cash and are healthy for your family too.
I had planned the lovely things I would make and giveaway, but life happened to me again. So I hope you don't mind that I am giving away a sewing pattern that I made myself and sell over at my shop www.blesseddesigns.net/store This pattern is our #1 seller and is fabulous for nursing, but just as lovely if you are not. It includes pieces for a sleep bra, nightgown, cami, and tummy cover (which makes a nice curvy tube top too.) It is sized for cups A-C, but has simple instructions to make a full bust adjustment for our well-blessed mamas. It is soft with no hardware, but the fabric is designed to cradle you like an underwire. It is a printed pattern with full size pieces on large heavy paper.
To enter, leave a comment. I'd love to hear a frugal thing you do or an area you wish you could cut back. I will choose a winner on Sunday night at 8pm by random number generator and notify her by email. Good luck! I hope you win.

I buy 90% of all my crafting supplies on sale. I'll wait until there's a sale at one of my favorite store and will then stock up. My favorite is when cute patterns are down to $1.
What a great giveaway! Thanks for the chance! You can enter for my giveaway at

Thanks for a great giveaway. I think my biggest indulgence at the moment and where I really need to cut back is the amount of fabric i buy. All lovely, but I need to start using up what I have first.

Yipes! What a great pattern! I would definitely love it as I need some nursing tops, but who wants to spend that kind of money???
I started using coupons about a year ago, and I am shocked at just how much money it has saved us! I stock up on good sales, and often I go weeks without grocery shopping.

This is a great pattern!
I guess my best cost cutter is to buy all our meat at Costco in large amounts, break it up in to smaller amounts and freeze for the month.

Oh I want this pattern! How pretty!
As to frugality, we do almost everything from scratch, but that is also because we have to avoid most preservatives and "unpronounceables". I make up bulk batches of hot cocoa mix in both powdered cows milk and powdered goats milk due to my kids allergies. But it is so much cheaper that buying it ready made.
I also sew almost all of our clothes. That can be frugal or expensive, but I am pretty darn cheap about it.

What gorgeous lingerie!
Oh the frugal life I lead... I make my own baby food. I sewed my baby's pocket nappies/diapers. I buy his clothes on eBay or charity shops. My New Years Resolution for 2009 was that I could not buy myself any new clothes (apart from a pair of jeans), only sew things or buy from charity shops. As a result the only clothes I have obtained so far is the pair of jeans. :-)

So awesome! I love to re-use coffee grounds to make a facial mask/mud/wash.

I would love to make any of these items!

Our family is living on the campus of the seminary that my husband attends. He is unable to work for the next 2 years and so frugality is a way of life for us! We shop double coupons, stockpile, and make our own everything that we can. There is a vegetable garden on campus which we love to work in and frequent.

holy cow--I love that pattern!
We use cloth diapers to save money (I sew my own). It has saved us hundreds, or more likely thousands!

Oh, wow!!! I've wanted to get this pattern for such a long time! I can't believe it's the one for this great give away. I'm trying to cut back our food budget way, way, way back!!! I plan to make a menu plan & surf around for some new to us, but tasty budget meals. Thanks!

This pattern is great! I am pregnant right now and this would be fabulous. My husband and I have been working on being frugal - we planted a vegetable garden, started baking our own bread and making our own jam and other random condiments to save money.

What a nice pattern set! I've started a garden and compost pile this year. We'll see how that goes. :-)

I love that pattern. I have been eyeing it for a while honestly!
We have cut back a lot in groceries. I use coupons, buy what is on sale, use only cash to pay, meal plan and cook more from scratch.

Love this pattern. I am prego and due in a couple of months and this would be perfect. We try to buy in bulk to save money on our staples.

I try to find a way to recycle nearly everything. This pattern is fabulous!

Hot dang! I AM nursing and though I am not an A-C cup, this looks like a nice pattern for me to learn how to do a full bust adjustment on. As for being frugal, I'm the queen of cleaning with baking soda and vinegar. I use it to clean laundry, the sink, the tub, the toilet...pretty much everything.

Wow, I've always wanted to make my own underwear. I think that if I'm not lucky enough to win this one I'll make a purchase!

Great! I'm having a hard time finding bras that fit after I finished nursing my son. I never thought of making my own! I like to buy used clothes for my family as much as possible.

Cute pattern! I love to craft so I try to avoid the craft stores and look instead at op shops (Australian thrift stores) or at $2 shops for supplies. I only shop at craft stores if there is a sale or I can't find what I want anywhere else.
